We have an exciting career opportunity in our Schirmer Engineering Duluth, GA office for a Marketing Specialist/Business Development professional. 

POSITION SUMMARY:    Establish a network of key contacts and develop relationships through phone calls to potential clients, active participation in industry (architecture/engineering/construction) networking organizations, client meetings and community outreach for the purpose of developing sales opportunities.  Track electronic databases for sales and contracting opportunities.  Work with technical staff to expertly develop qualifications documentation and proposal submittals.  Prepare sales and marketing reports and assist in various administrative functions.  Travel of approximately 20 percent will be required.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• College degree required, preferably in marketing, business administration or journalism or comparable direct marketing experience.
• Five years of experience in a marketing position; architecture/engineering/construction industry is preferred. 
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be highly self-confident and motivated with an amiable personality.
• Excellent computer software skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Access.
