Boot Camp #1 – Capture Planning for Business Development

Capture Planning for Business Development

In a perfect world, capture planning can bridge the chasm between business development tactics and project pursuit strategies, resulting in a winning effort. But like any process, the outcome is only as good as the quality of the raw input and the value added along the way.

This highly interactive boot camp session explores capture planning as a “knowledge manufacturing process” that involves three key steps: 1) gathering data upfront, 2) analyzing that data and converting it to usable information, and finally 3) applying the outcome as knowledge to effectively pursue projects.

Learning Objectives for This Session:

  • Uncovering what we need to learn about people and projects upfront to effectively capture plan (data)
  • Exploring simple ways to analyze project, client, issues, and competitor data to yield usable results (information)
  • Translating the outcomes of capture planning into strategic messages for proposals and presentations (knowledge)

We will conclude the session with a time of networking with drinks included.
