John S. Vaci
McGraw-Hill Construction
John Vaci is an architect with McGraw-Hill Construction, where he heads up development and implementation of strategic initiatives. The Majority of his work focuses on creating new ways for building product manufacturers to integrate their products in the construction process.
John is very closely involved with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the digital technologies associated with BIM. He is currently working on a partnership with Autodesk where critical product information will be available to architects and engineers inside Autodesk’s flagship applications. BIM comes down to data and that means product data—McGraw-Hill is a leader in building product data collection and publishing. John was a partner in his own practice in the Chicago area prior to joining McGraw-Hill where he has been a consultant for the last 15 years. John lives in Birmingham, Alabama and maintains his own consulting practice there.
