The SMPS Foundation Think Tank is a program designed specifically for senior members of the A/E/C industry to discuss and develop recommendations in one or more of the following areas:

  • Big Picture of marketing management as it relates to the overall success, management and performance of the profitability of A/E/C firms.
  • Advocacy for SMPS, for the SMPS Foundation, and for the profession.
  • Connectivity to share experience with the Society’s younger members.

The Think Tank members will discuss major issues facing the A/E/C industry such as the challenges associated with navigating today’s economy, the globalization of markets, and the current credit crunch.

TOPIC:

Think Tank Members: Ten to 12 Think Tank members have been invited to discuss the above topic or a topic of their choice.  The number of Think Tank members was selected as this size group is sufficiently large enough to gain a diverse prospective from different areas of the country, different services, and different building type specialists.

To meet our objective of involving senior members of the A/E/C marketing profession, the session will be offered to a larger, yet limited number of participants.  With these criteria we elected to invite 10 to 12 Think Tank members and have a session available for a fee and open SMPS members and professionals in the architecture, engineering, and contracting community in the United States.

Firm leaders and senior-level marketers and business developers are encouraged to attend and to participate through panel discussions and Q&A sessions.

The key findings of this Think Tank will be summarized in a final report and distributed to participants.
