Speaker:
Chris Schroder is president of Schroder Public Relations, which since 2003 has represented several architecture firms such as Perkins + Will, several construction firms such as Balfour Beatty and dozens of developers such as Hines. His firm has launched hundreds of local, national and international media campaigns, designed many websites, written and produced videos and eNewsletters, social media campaigns, internal and external marketing campaigns, managed crises, most recently the 2009 partial collapse of the Centergy Parking Deck for Fifth Street Management. Before entering PR in 2002, Chris worked as a reporter, editor, marketing and advertising executive for six Southeastern daily newspapers before starting his own group of neighborhood newspapers in Intown Atlanta in 1994.
Chris is a fifth-generation Atlantan, currently lives in Buckhead, is a graduate of Westminster and the University of Virginia . He is currently writing a book drawn from his entrepreneurial background (including a bricklaying firm in college) titled, "We Lay for Less: How to start your own small business – brick by brick."
